At approximately 2:15 am, units were dispatched for a report of a house fire in the 7200 block of Montgomery Road in Elkridge.
The fire was called into 911 dispatchers by a resident of the home.
Upon arrival firefighters found fire in the attic of the one-story house.
Engine 11 arrived to find fire showing from a small, single story house and requested the fire task force.
Firefighters made an aggressive interior attack, and brought the fire under control in approximately one hour.
The four adults at home at the time evacuated before the arrival of emergency personnel. There were no reported civilian or emergency responder injuries. HCDFRS received mutual aid response from Baltimore and Anne Arundel counties with a total of 45 personnel initially responding to the scene.
The four adult residents will be displaced and the Red Cross is responding to help. The fire incident is currently under investigation by the HCDFRS Fire Marshal’s Office.
