First Due Auto and Carport Fire   By Lieutenant Brian Shipley December 11, 2009   This morning as the Rescue Squad was sitting on the route 100 bridge over 95 on an MVC, crews noticed a column smoke over the tree line in the Montgomery Road area. As Engine 91 was placed in service from the MVC, they were dispatched to Deer Ridge Road off of Montgomery for a report car on fire. Howard then advised Engine 91 that the caller was saying the auto was next to the building. With that information Engine 91 had the box filled. The Rescue Squad cleared the MVC and responded on the box. Engine 91 arrived to find an auto well involved, with a Vinyl carport also on fire. Engine 91 extinguished the fire and the Rescue Squad overhauled. The Rescue Squad then assisted E91 out of the muddy yard with it's winch.
