Food Drive

The Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department is sponsoring its 27th Annual Holiday Food Drive, to benefit needy families in the Elkridge area. The Holiday Food Drive started in 1991, filling dozens of baskets each year, and has provided over 750 food baskets for needy families over the years.

The community response to this food drive is always great. Our annual collection of canned and non-perishable goods for the Holiday Food Baskets are collected during the annual, Santa riding the fire engine through the Elkridge communities. Turkeys, pies and other food items are purchased through monetary donations. In addition, wrapped gifts for children are also collected.

The success of this program is only realized by the generosity of the Elkridge community.

There's a collection box at the fire house, plus food is collected when Santa rides through the neighborhoods on the firetruck.
